Kids are out of school, the days are warmer, longer, and there’s plenty of sun in the forecast. This time of year was meant to be enjoyed outdoors, but what happens when you’re at a loss for activities to keep everyone occupied?

“I’m bored.”

This is a phrase we never want to hear, and we’re here to help alleviate summer boredom with ideas and games you can easily play with a few household items you’ve got laying around.

Party411.com has a great list of easy to play games, many of which are easy to follow and require little planning or equipment to play. It goes to show, you don’t need to have fancy sports equipment to be active and have fun, just a bit of imagination and some friends willing to participate. Some are great for a pool party too, so be sure to check out the entire list.

Our Favorites:

Some of our favorites from this list include Tug of Water, (just like regular tug of war, except played with the sprinklers on for extra slippage) and Poison (which is like a variation of dodgeball between two bases). There are games for all ages and settings, so you’re bound to find something on this list to enjoy.

Will you or your kids be playing any of these games this summer? Let us know in the comment section below!
